Intradistrict Transfer Information

In order to ensure that priorities for enrollment in district schools are implemented in accordance with law and Board policy, applications for intradistrict requests shall be submitted between April 1 - April 30 of the school year preceding the school year for which the transfer is requested.

The district is not obligated to provide transportation for students who attend another CUESD school through an Intradistrict Transfer Request.

Intradistrict Transfer Requests for the current school (2021-21) year are reviewed and processed based on grade/class sizes by the District Office.  Schools within our district may be impacted due to late enrollments and/or class sizes.  Parents will be notified as soon as possible but no later than 10 days from the date the request is received as to the status of the request.

2021-22 Intradistrct Transfer Request Period

Intradistrict Transfer Requests for the 2021-22 school year can be requested from April 1 - April 30.  Requests received after this time period will be placed on a waiting list with parents being notified as soon as all enrollment priorities have been applied and final decisions have been made.

Intradistrict Transfer requests can be made by either:

  • Logging into your parent portal and requesting a school of choice
  • Downloading an Intradistrict Transfer Form (below) and submitting it to the District Office. Please mail completed forms to CUESD District Office, 1590 South Street, Corning, CA 96021

NOTE:  The District is not obliged to provide transportation for students who attend another CUESD school through an Intradistrict Transfer.

If you have moved within the CUESD boundary and wish to have your student's enrollment moved to your new resident school site, please provide your new verification of residency to either your current school office staff or the new school office staff.

If you have moved within the CUESD district boundary, and wish to request a transfer for your student to remain at his/her current school site for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year, please submit an Intradistrict Transfer request via your parent portal. 

The Governing Board desires to provide enrollment options that meet the diverse needs and interests of district students and parents/guardians.
